Wild Mysteries, a multi-media retrospective, spans almost fifty years of my study of forests, lakes, mountains and sea from New England to the Adirondacks and the Pacific Northwest . For as long as I can remember, I have worked with the spirits of trees, rocks, plants and mountains to convey their life force and mystery in visual art.

Similar to the practices of ancient shamans who used art for divination and healing, the purpose of the exhibit is to invite people to experience an inner journey of awakening to the visual “voices” of wilderness and the urgent message of honoring the sacred trust of preservation and sustainability for Earth.  Like other religious observances, creative practices can be a portal to the divine, an ecstatic opening allowing us to commingle with Universal love.  Using media as diverse as pastel, oil, embroidery, fabric and thread collage, and photography, the works of this exhibit reveal such secrets and intimate conversations, reminding us of our essential oneness with nature in all her forms.
